To Cook Beef- Beef - 400 gm
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - required
- Water
- Cinnamon stick - 1
- Cardamom - 3 nos
- Cloves - 2 nos
- Star anise - 1
- Pepper Corns - 1 tsp
- Dry red chilies - 3 nos
- Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Green Chili - 1
- Ginger - a small piece
- Garlic cloves - 2 nos
- Curry leaves - 2 spring
- Shallots - 3 nos
- Coconut Oil - 3 tbsp
- Finely Chopped Onion - 1
Preparation For Beef Roast
- In a pressure cooker add the beef pieces, salt, and Turmeric. Then add some water not too much just to cover the beef pieces. Cook for 3 whistles on medium heat or until the meat is soft and tender.
- Dry roast Cinnamon, Cardamom, clove, star anise, fennel, cumin, pepper, green chilies, red chilies, ginger, garlic, shallots, and curry leaves and roast it for some time until you feel the nice aroma of the roasted spices.
- Transfer all the roasted spices to a blender and grind it to a smooth paste by adding some water.
- Heat oil in a pan and add the onions and cook until they are golden brown. Now to this add the broth which we have separated from the beef after cooking. Then add the freshly ground masala and mix it well. We need to cook this until the gravy thickens and reduces.
- Now you can see the gravy is nice and thick, add the cooked beef pieces and mix well with the gravy. After mixing nicely cook this for some time until the oil separates ( on medium heat). Finally, add some curry leaves for garnishing and turn off the heat.
Method For Beef Roast

6. Add the chopped onion and cook until they are golden brown.
7. Add the broth which we have separated from the beef after cooking.
8. Add the masala paste and mix it well
9. Cook until the gravy thickens and reduces.
10. Add the cooked beef pieces and mix well with the gravy
11. Roast until the oil separates
12. Finally, add some curry leaves for garnishing and turn off the heat.
13. Beef Roast is ready to serve
