Samosa Recipe is one of the most popular and favorite snacks in India. This Samosa is made using Wheat flour and stuffing is made using potatoes. This Recipe is very easy to cook without compromising the taste of the fried ones. Wheat Samosa Recipe is quite easy but many still buy samosas from shops. The main reason is the difficulty in rolling the sheets for samosa. But in this Samosa Recipe, we will see how to make samosa dough and how to roll samosa sheets.
My daughter always likes to have some snacks in the evening. So I will try different snacks each day. Today I am planning to prepare some tasty & healthy samosas. I decided first to never use maida for this recipe. I think It’s not healthy. So I tried samosa with atta flour. Surprisingly it came so delicious. Here I would like to share with you how I made these delicious snacks. All these recipes are very easy to cook and I hope your dears also like this.
Spicy snacks are always sold by street vendors in most of the Eastern region and those have a high demand and can be eaten at any time of day. These samosas are deep-fried. They are also perfect for parties as they are easier to cook.
Ingredients For Somasa Recipe
For Samosa Covering
Wheat flour - 2 cupOil - 2 tbsp
Water - 3/4 cup
Salt
For The Filling
Potato – 5 (Boiled)Onion – 1 big (finely chopped)
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Green chilly – 2 nos
Garam masala – 1/2 tbsp
Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tbsp
Cumin seeds – 1/4 tbsp
Curry leaves
Oil
Salt
Preparation For Samosa Recipe
Method For Samosa Recipe
1. Sift the flour, oil, and salt into a large mixing bowl.
2. Add enough water and knead to form a soft pliable dough. Cover and let the dough rest for 15 - 20 minutes.
3. Heat the oil in a frying pan and add the cumin seed, onion, green chili, ginger-garlic paste, and curry leaves.
4. Fry for 5 minutes until the onion color turns brown.
6. Add the turmeric powder chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala and cook for 1 minute
7. Add mashed potato mix it well and set aside to cool.
8. Divide the dough into 5 balls
9. Roll out each piece to a circle on a well-floured surface
10. Cut it into two parts like a semi-circle.
11. Brush the edges with a drop of water and form a cone shape.
12. Place one of them with a small spoonful of filling
13. seal it using a drop of water
14. Fold one corner over the filling to make a triangle and continue this folding until the entire dough has been used and a triangular pastry has been formed. Seal any open edges with water drops
15. Heat the oil for deep frying and fry the samosas, a few at a time, until each side turns golden in color and crispy
16.Drain well on kitchen paper and serve hot
