Garlic curry, everyone knows garlic is the best home remedy for many health issues. So today I’m going to share with you one of the best curries which can be made with garlic. I got this recipe from my grandmother and the speciality of this curry is that we can use it for a few days with its fresh taste without even keeping in refrigerator. If you are planning to travel somewhere and is away from home for a few days then this recipe is one of the best choices for you and your dear ones. This garlic curry can save your time in a busy life schedule as we can cook this once and use it for a few days. Usually, I make this curry in the evening and the same is used in next day morning for my husband's tiffin.Garlic curry, which is quite easy to prepare is loaded with flavours. It can be saved up to three days without refrigeration. This spicy curry goes amazing with rice and chapati as well. So let’s start to cook.

Ingredients For Garlic Curry Recipe
- Garlic cloves - 1cup
- Shallots - 15 nos
- Curry leaves - 3 bunches
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
- A small ball of tamarind (Soaked and juice extracted)
- Salt as required
- Oil - 3 tbsp
- Tomato - 1
- Asafoetida - ¼ tsp
Preparation For Garlic Curry Recipe
- Fry half of the garlic cloves along with curry leaves. Allow the fried garlic to cool down before grinding it into a paste.
- Sauté the rest of the garlic and shallots in the same pan, until they turn soft and golden in colour.
- Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, and salt as required. Sauté until the raw smell is gone.
- Add the diced tomato and sauté.
- Pour in the tamarind water and allow it to boil.
- Add the previously prepared fried garlic paste and mix well.
- Finally, add the black pepper powder and asafoetida powder. Mix everything well together.
- Store the garlic curry in airtight containers.

Method For Garlic Curry Recipe
1. Add oil in a pan
2. Add half of the garlic cloves and curry leaves
3. Fry until golden brown colour
4. Add fried garlic and curry leaves to a blender and grinds it to a fine paste
5. Add garlic and shallots in the same pan, until they turn soft and golden in colour.
6. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, and salt as required. Sauté until the raw smell is gone.
7. Add chopped tomato and cook for a few minutes
8. Pour in the tamarind water and allow it to boil.
9. Add the garlic paste and stir well
10. Add the black pepper powder and asafoetida powder. Mix everything well together.
11. Garlic curry is ready to serve.
