I’m pretty much confident that you will love the taste of this omelette once you try it out. A few months ago I made this omelette for my husband and he is now has a habit of having this omelette every day for his breakfast menu.

This irresistible omelette is classic Parsi food, which originated along the shores of the Caspian Sea, and the cuisine offers some unique flavors, which appeal to both eastern and western palates. serve at any time of day, whether for breakfast, a light lunch or a quick supper.


Ingredients For Omelette Recipe

  • Egg - 2 nos (beaten)
  • Finely chopped Onion - 1
  • Finely chopped Green chili - 1
  • Chopped garlic clove - 1
  • Chopped tomato - 1
  • Cumin seed - 1/2 tsp
  • Chopped Curry leaves
  • Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Chopped boiled Potato - 1
  • Grated cheese - 2 tbsp
  • Oil - 2 tsp
  • Salt to taste

Preparation For Omelette Recipe

  1. Heat the oil in a pan, and fry the onion for 5 minutes until beginning to soften.
  2. Add tomato, green chili, potato, curry leaves, garlic, cumin seed to the pan and cook until they are well blended but the potato and tomato are still firm. Season to taste with salt and black pepper.
  3. Increase the heat and pour in the beaten eggs. Reduce the heat,  cover and cook until the bottom layer has browned.
  4. Turn the omelet over and sprinkle with the grated cheese.
  5. Serve with salad for a light lunch. If you prefer, serve it for a tasty breakfast.
